Njata is one of the Indonesian Barat Daya Islands ( Southwest Islands ) in the Banda Sea .

Njata is northwest off the coast of Romang Island . Wetar Island is west of the Strait of Romang . To the north lies the open area of the Banda Sea. Njata belongs to the inner ribbon bow .
