No Fun at All is a Swedish punk band that plays fast melodycore .

history

No Fun at All was founded in 1991 in a smaller Swedish town called Skinnskatteberg . The founder was the songwriter, guitarist and AC / DC fan Micke Danielsson, who founded the band together with bassist Henrik Sunvisson and singer Jimmy Olsson, who initially also acted as a drummer. Olsson left the group in 1993, but three new band members joined the band: the new singer Ingemar Jansson, Krister Johansson (guitar) and drummer Kjell Ramstedt.

Burning Heart Records released their first single Vision in 1993 , which unexpectedly sold over 25,000 copies. Since then, No Straight Angles (1994), Out of Bounds (1995), The Big Knockover (1997) and EP's Going Steady (1998) have been released. The German magazine Visions led No Straight Angels on their published 2019 list of Swedish 55 best rock albums.

After The Big Knockover , bassist Henrik Sunvisson left the band because he always wanted to play the same kind of music, but the band wanted to develop musically. So guitarist Mikael "Micke" Danielsson switched to bass and the new guitarist was Stefan Neumann , who had been playing at Puffball up until then . The band broke up in 2001 by mutual agreement. In 2002 the best-of album Master Celebrations was released, which contains the most successful pieces in the band's history as well as two new songs.

Since 2005 No Fun At All have been giving occasional concerts. Of the founding members, only Micke Danielsson now plays in the band. At the Groezrock Festival 2008 the band announced that they wanted to release a new album in the same year, of which they presented two of the new songs at the festival. In 2012 No Fun At All dissolved again. The planned appearance at the Millencolin -20-Year Festival has been canceled. Since 2013 the band has been on tour again occasionally. In 2018, Grit, the first studio album in ten years, was released, which stylistically ties in with the early work of the 1990s. For the first time since the breakup in 2001, the band gave their full-time focus on music.
