Puffball was a Swedish punk rock band formed in 1995 in Västerås by Mikael Tossavainen (guitar, vocals), Magnus Forsberg (drums), PO Söderbäck (guitar), Fredrik Lindgren (bass, backing vocals) and Daniel Hojas (bass 1995-1998 ) Founded.

The basic structure of the band consisted of singer Tossavainen, drummer Forsberg and bassist Hojas, who had known each other for a number of years from the band Tribulation , so this can be described as the nucleus from which Puffball emerged. The band calls their music punk'n'roll, a mixture of punk rock and rock'n'roll. Probably due to the origin of the band from Västerås and the annual Power Big Meet there , the band members have a strong predilection for muscle cars from the Chrysler Corporation of the late 1960s and early 1970s, which can be seen in the album cover design and in the song titles and texts.
The band debuted in 1996 with the self-titled album Puffball , followed by Sixpack to Go! In 1997 . , 1999 It's Gotta Be Voodoo Baby , 2001 The Super Commando and 2003 Leave Them All Behind . All albums were released on Burning Heart Records .
The band broke up in 2005 when singer and guitarist Tossavainen decided to leave the band. In a press release the band announced: “Tossa has decided to leave the band for lack of motivation. This means that Puffball throws in the towel, as the other members feel that without the significant artistic influence of the founding member Tossa there is no way of continuing the musical path under the name Puffball. We would like to thank everyone who has ever had anything to do with the band, who have supported us in the almost 10 years of existence, for all the good times we had. We hope to see each other again someday, because we are still a long way from being through with rock and roll. So keep your eyes and ears open! ... So long! "
Forsberg and Söderbäck found their new musical home with Bombs of Hades .
