In addition to several state gifts from the Maltese government for monarchs and other foreign dignitaries, Galea Bason has made some works for public spaces. After two sculptors failed with their abstract designs for a monument to the Maltese statesman Dom Mintoff on Castile Square in Valletta , Noel Galeea Bason was commissioned with a sculpture. It was unveiled in May 2018.

Galea Bason has designed numerous medals and more than 60 coins, including a series of ten coins for San Marino and a series of 28 medals with portraits of the Grand Masters of the Order of Malta , created between 1998 and 2002 . His most famous coin designs are the three different faces of the Maltese euro coins issued since 2008 with a stylized representation of the Mnajdra on the coins at 1 cent, 2 cents and 5 cents, the coat of arms of Malta on the coins at 10 cents, 20 cents and 50 cents, as well the Maltese cross on the 1 euro and 2 euro coins.
