noid (musician)

noid (actually: Arnold Haberl ; born July 6, 1970 in Steyr ) is an Austrian improvisation musician ( cello , electronics), composer and sound artist . His fields of activity include cello improvisations, sound installations, video art and ensemble compositions. He lives and works in Vienna .

Life

Arnold Haberl studied cello and mathematics in Vienna. He worked with artists such as Elisabeth Schimana , Klaus Filip , Dieb13 , Billy Roisz , Burkhard Stangl , Franz Hautzinger and many more. He is the programmer of the music freeware project ppooll . Haberl has been teaching sound art at the Salzburg University of Applied Sciences since 2010 .
