The Nokia 3650 is a GSM - mobile phone of the manufacturer Nokia , technically the Nokia 7650 modeled. Particularly noticeable is the ring-shaped keyboard that is reminiscent of a rotary dial , but it takes some getting used to. The device received the iF Design Award at CeBIT 2003 . After the market launch in spring 2003 it cost 429 € in stores.

Symbian is used as the operating system , which provides a flexible basis for the installation of further applications (e.g. a version of the Opera web browser is offered ) and makes the device very user-friendly. The Nokia 3650 is designed as a multimedia mobile phone, but unlike its predecessors, it offers the option of upgrading the memory using an MMC card. The built-in camera has a VGA resolution (640 × 480 pixels). The photo quality was considered very good when the device was released, but of course - as with almost all other camera phones available at the time - it could not be compared with that of digital cameras .

The camcorder function was advertised as a special feature by Nokia , but it was limited to videos without sound with only 10 frames / second and a maximum file size of 100 KByte.

The closely related successor model Nokia 3660 emerged from the Nokia 3650, which reverted to a traditional keyboard layout and built in a better display with 65,535 colors.
