Nora Twomey
Nora Twomey (born October 31, 1971 in Cork , County Cork , Munster ) is an Irish film director , film producer and animator .
Career
Twomey started working as a producer in 2002 and was responsible for the short film From Darkness . In this film, she was also responsible for the animation and made her directorial debut. Subsequently, other films with her participation were released, such as Brendan and the Secret of Kells , for which she and Tomm Moore received the “Audience Award” at the Festival d'Animation Annecy . In 2015 she worked as a creative producer on the Irish television series Puffy Rock for 39 episodes. For her participation in the animated film The Breadwinner , she received numerous nominations, including the Annie Awards and the 2018 Academy Awards in the category “ Best Animated Film ”.
