history
The company was founded in 1989 and started out as a pure transport service provider with the name Express-1 Expedited Solutions. In the following years, the company grew strongly through acquisitions and finally renamed itself XPO Logistics in 2011. Important takeovers were Con-way and Norbert Dentressangle in 2015, making XPO one of the ten largest logistics companies in the world.
