Norbert Gregorz (born September 8, 1967 in Schwerin ) is a former German handball player and functional as well as today's handball trainer . He currently trains the HSG Gevelsberg-Silschede. As a player he was active in the GDR Oberliga and the Bundesliga , among others . He was also the manager of the second division club SG Solingen for a year .

Career

Gregorz started playing handball at TSG Wismar in 1974 . After he switched to the children's and youth sports school in Rostock , he played from then on at SC Empor Rostock . With the club he won the FDGB Cup in 1988 and 1989 . In 1990 the second division TSV GWD Minden signed him . At the end of his five-year engagement, he was able to celebrate promotion to the Bundesliga in 1995. Gregorz stayed in the 2nd Bundesliga and joined the LTV Wuppertal . It was here that he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 1997. In 1998 he moved back to the second division at TSG Bielefeld , where he acted as player-coach from October 1999. After his release in April 2002, he played for HSG Schwerte-Westhofen and again for LTV Wuppertal. In 2005 he ended his playing career and took over the managerial position at SG Solingen , where he stepped in as a coach in November 2005 until the end of the season. Since the professional department merged to form the new Bergischer HC club for the 2006/07 season , Gregorz became the club's first coach. In December 2007 he was released and moved to VfL Eintracht Hagen for the 2008/09 season . In the 2010/2011 season he was in charge of LTV Wuppertal and then for almost four years the Cronenburger TG. From 2016 until his resignation in January 2017, he coached the ART Düsseldorf team and has been the HSG Gevelsberg-Silschede coach since the beginning of the 2017/18 season.
