Norbert Müller (born February 10, 1986 in Wriezen , Bad Freienwalde district , GDR ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). Norbert Müller has been a member of the German Bundestag since December 2014 . He is the child and youth policy spokesman for the left-wing parliamentary group in the German Bundestag and has been chairman of the German Bundestag's children's commission since January 2016 .

Müller grew up in Strausberg . Since graduating from high school in 2005, Norbert Müller has been studying history as well as lifestyle, ethics and religious studies for teaching at the University of Potsdam .

Political career

From 2010 to 2013 he worked for MEP Sabine Wils .

Norbert Müller joined the PDS in 2002 , and has been the deputy state chairman of the Die Linke Brandenburg party since 2012 . From 2010 to 2013 he was managing director of the union-affiliated party movement Socialist Left .

Norbert Müller was a member of the Brandenburg State Parliament from 2013 until the end of the 4th electoral term in autumn 2014 .

For the 2013 federal election , Norbert Müller took 6th place on the state list of the party Die Linke in Brandenburg and ran for election in federal constituency 61 . He got 20.0% of the first votes.

After the state elections on September 14, 2014 in Brandenburg, the Brandenburg member of the Bundestag Diana Golze became Minister of Labor and Social Affairs in the Woidke II cabinet of the State of Brandenburg and subsequently resigned from her Bundestag mandate. Norbert Müller was the first to succeed her in the Bundestag in December 2014.

He is a member of the Rote Hilfe , which led to a public discussion in 2013 after a parliamentary request from the CDU opposition.

In October 2016, Müller was warned by the parliamentary management of his parliamentary group because of a relatively intensive use of the Bundestag's vehicle service. Since the end of 2014, Müller had used the Bundestag's driving service 60 times for trips to the surrounding area of ​​Berlin where he is domiciled.

On November 26, 2016, he was elected to fourth place on the state list for the 2017 Bundestag election by the delegates' assembly of the Left Party Brandenburg and he moved into the Bundestag via this list.

Norbert Müller is married and has two children.
