The second Woidke cabinet formed the state government of Brandenburg from November 5, 2014 to November 20, 2019 . Although the previous governing parties SPD (with a minus of 1.1 percentage points ) and Die Linke (with a minus of 8.6 percentage points) suffered a significant loss of votes in the election for the 6th state parliament on September 14, 2014 and their majority in the state parliament from last 54 votes to 47 votes, the parties agreed on a continuation of the “ red-red ” government alliance that had existed since November 2009 . Compared to the previous cabinet, Woidke I , the new state government was filled in several positions.
Dietmar Woidke (SPD) was re-elected Prime Minister at the 2nd session of the Brandenburg State Parliament on November 5, 2014 . He then appointed the ministers of the state government. The SPD occupied six ministries , Die Linke received three departments and provided the deputy prime minister.
