Cabinet Platzeck III
The Platzeck III cabinet formed the state government of Brandenburg from November 6, 2009 to August 28, 2013 . It was formed after the election to the 5th state parliament of Brandenburg on September 27, 2009 on the basis of a coalition agreement between the SPD and Die Linke . Thus Brandenburg was for the first time by a red-red coalition governed. The CDU , which as the previous junior partner of the SPD, had ruled for ten years in a red-black coalition , went into opposition.
The term of office of the Cabinet Platzeck III ended by the resignation of Prime Minister Matthias Platzeck ( SPD ) on August 28, 2013, which according to Art. 85 para. 1 of the State Constitution also ended the term of office of all members of the government. The previous Minister of the Interior Dietmar Woidke (SPD), who formed the Woidke I cabinet , which has hardly changed , became the new Prime Minister .
