Norbert Mauser

Norbert Julius Mauser (born August 3, 1964 in Vienna ) is an Austrian mathematician and university professor at the University of Vienna who deals with partial differential equations .

Life

Norbert Mauser studied technical mathematics , technical physics and astronomy at the Technical University of Vienna , the Technical University of Berlin and the University of Vienna. He received his doctorate in Vienna in 1994 under Peter Markowich and worked in research in France and the USA . In 2001 he founded the Wolfgang Pauli Institute together with Peter Markowich , of which he has been director ever since. In 2004 it was expanded to include the CNRS Pauli Institute . From 2008 to 2013 he was on the board of directors of the Young Curia of the Austrian Academy of Sciences .
