Norbert Schellberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Norbert Schellberg (born August 5, 1960 in Duisburg ) is a German politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and employed lobbyist at the Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers . It was from 1995 - 1999 Member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

Life

In the 1990s he was the state manager of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen in Berlin and a member of the House of Representatives. From 1999 to 2007 he worked in various functions for the green parliamentary group (including as a federal-state coordinator) and advised the parliamentary group executive committee during the red-green government period. From January 2010 to February 2016 he was district chairman of the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district association of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen . Within the party, he is considered to be “Oberrealo” and represents the concept of “Green independence”; the idea of forming governments not exclusively with the SPD (but also with the CDU, as in Zehlendorf).

At the Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (vfa), he was, among other things, the contact person for the dialogue between research-based pharmaceutical companies and church aid organizations, which is about supplying poor countries with affordable medicines. This cooperation is criticized by the former SPD member of the Bundestag Wolfgang Wodarg , who thinks that “the VfA gives the impression” that “it is endowed with the ethical competence of a church organization.” At the moment he is a senior advisor for economics at the vfa - and location policy and coordinates the association work in the pharmaceutical dialogue of the federal government.
