The Frisia X in the Norderneyer Seegatt

The Norderneyer Seegat or (officially) Norderneyer Seegat is a sea gate in the southern North Sea .

The Gatt runs in a north-south direction between the East Frisian Islands Juist in the west and Norderney in the east. The approach from the North Sea to the Norderneyer Seegatt takes place via two concreted fairways . From the west one reaches the passage over the gorges and from the east over the Dovetief . The Norderneyer Seegatt is subject to strong morphological changes due to the effects of the tides , so that the position and depth of the fairway are also constantly changing.
