The North-South Corridor (abbreviation: NSC) is Singapore's latest expressway project. The year 2026 is specified for the completion of the project.
The North-South Corridor was announced on January 19, 2011 and extends between Admiralty Road West and Toa Payoh Rise. On November 15, 2011, the LTA revealed full alignment. Construction work will begin in 2017 and be completed in 2023. The North-South Corridor will have a total of 16 entrances and 17 exits to connect towns in Woodlands, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Toa Payoh, towards the city center and to connect the Seletar Expressway . Central Expressway and the East Coast Parkway .
When the LTA was initially conceived as a vehicle freeway to be completed in 2020, it revised the corridor with bus lanes and bicycle routes along the entire expressway. It was converted into the North-South Corridor on January 21, 2016 .
Some land must be purchased to build the project. These include the Rochor Center , which was demolished in August 2017 , the Ellison Building and the underpasses at the Novena MRT station .
