North Kansas City is a town in Clay County in the US state of Missouri and part of the Kansas City metropolitan area . It is only separated from Kansas City by a loop of the Missouri , directly north of the metropolis. The main road link across the river is the Christopher S. Bond Bridge , which replaced the Paseo Bridge from the 1950s in 2010 .

In the village is the headquarters of the medical technology company Cerner Corporation and the Armor Theater Building , which is listed in the National Register of Historic Places .
