The Kansas City includes 15 counties in the US -amerikanischen states Missouri and Kansas and has about 2 million inhabitants. The center of the metropolitan region is formed by the major cities of Kansas City in Missouri and its sister city in Kansas.
The region is the second largest metropolitan area in Missouri after Greater St. Louis and the largest in Kansas. In 2010, according to CNNMoney.com, the region's city of Overland Park was ranked 7th in the list of the most liveable cities in the United States.
