The emergency box is a small cylinder-shaped container in green and white color that comes with an emergency information sheet, e.g. B. informed about the state of health, previous illnesses, operations and medication. It has been introduced by cities, municipalities and aid organizations since 2015 . The ambulance service recommends keeping the emergency jar in the person's refrigerator, as it is easy for the emergency services to find there.

Signs (stickers) are always attached to the apartment entrance door and to the refrigerator of the person concerned, indicating the emergency box. In addition, contact details for relatives or information on pets that need to be looked after should also be stored in the emergency box. Emergency sockets are already available in many pharmacies or citizens' offices .
