The Roman Catholic Church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption ( Assumption of Mary ) in Haravilliers , a French commune in the Val-d'Oise department in the Île-de-France region , was built from the 12th century. The building has been on the list of architectural monuments in France as Monument historique since 1915 .

The church was built from the first half of the 12th century. The Romanesque stair tower on the southwest corner, which is covered by a richly decorated lantern , dates from this time . In the following centuries many changes were made, so that today's church is a mixture of styles from the late Romanesque to the late Gothic .

Furnishing

The church has seven pieces of equipment that are on the list of monuments as "mobilier classés monuments historiques au titre des objets":

  • a stone pietà from the 15th century
  • a group with St. Anna and Maria from the last quarter of the 15th century, it was stolen on January 25, 1964
  • a wooden sculpture of St. Rochus from the 16th century
  • a polychrome stone sculpture of the Madonna and Child from the end of the 17th century
  • a polychrome stone sculpture of St. Joseph from around 1800
  • an altar with a tabernacle and a reredos made of wood and stucco from the first quarter of the 18th century
  • a grave slab for Bartholomé N…, pastor in Haravilliers, who died in 1366
