Emergency unit
The emergency unit was a supraregional special unit of the fire brigades of Bavaria set up for disasters and accidents .
definition
The emergency units had their origins in the post-war period, when many fire brigades in Bavaria only had a small amount of vehicles and equipment and were unable to provide sufficient help in the event of major damage. Therefore, in larger fire brigades, fire brigades and many special vehicles for supra-local operations were combined into emergency units, also called emergency remote readiness . As the name implies, the emergency remote readiness units were set up as a tactical association of size 1 "readiness" .
