Nowe Zagrody (German Neugarten ) is one of the eleven districts of the city of Racibórz ( Ratibor ) in the Silesian Voivodeship in southern Poland . The rural community of Neugarten was incorporated into the city of Ratibor on January 1st, 1860.
Geographical location
As early as 1313, a farmstead called Nowe Zagrody near Ratibor is mentioned. It is difficult to determine the exact boundaries of new gardens . Many districts of what was then Ratibor were formerly villages that were integrated into the city as districts. All we know is that one of the boundaries of the Nowe Zagrody district led along today's Ulica Staszica . Determining the other limits is rather problematic. Ulica Wojska Polskiego street is considered an extended border from Neugarten to the center of Racibórz. However, the question remains whether this supposed boundary between the former village and the city ultimately coincides. Mysłowicka Street separates the Nowe Zagrody district from the Ocice district . However, this boundary between the two districts mentioned can be clearly determined.
