The nuozhadu dam ( Chinese  糯扎渡大壩 , Pinyin Nuozhadu DABA ) with its connected water power station is a dam on the Lancang Jiang ( Mekong ) in the greater community Nuozhadu of the Autonomous Okrug Lancang Lahu in the prefecture-level city Pu'er the southwest China province of Yunnan . Construction began in 2006 and was completed in 2014.

The dam is a rubble dam with an earth core with a height of 261.5 m. The storage capacity of the reservoir is 21,749 million cubic meters; the normal water level is 812 m above sea level.

The total installed capacity is 9 × 650 = 5,850 MW. The hydraulic drop height of nine generator units is 187 m. The underground power house consists of three caverns , including the machine hall with the dimensions (length, width, height) 418 m × 31 m × 81.6 m and the transformer hall (346 m × 19 m × 23.6 m). The operator is Huaneng Lancang River Hydropower Co., Ltd.

The first machine in the power plant went online in September 2012, the last on June 26, 2014. With an installed capacity of 5,850 MW, Nuozhadu is the largest hydropower plant in Yunnan and the fourth-largest in China. The average annual production will be 23.9 billion kWh .
