O&O Baukunst (Ortner & Ortner Baukunst) is a German-Austrian architecture firm. It was founded in 1987 by Manfred Ortner and Laurids Ortner in Düsseldorf and emerged from the artist group Haus-Rucker-Co . Shortly after it was founded, the competition for the new MuseumsQuartier in Vienna was won, which includes the three museums Leopold Museum , Museum Moderner Kunst Stiftung Ludwig and the Kunsthalle Wien . Other major projects followed, such as the Saxon State and University Library in Dresden and the North Rhine-Westphalia State Archive in Duisburg. Another location has existed in Vienna since 1990, in Berlin since 1994 and in Cologne since 2006. In 2011 the gallery O&O Depot was added at the Berlin location .
