The O'Shannassy River is a river in the northwest of the Australian state of Queensland .

geography

River course

It rises at Split Rock , about 60 km east of Camooweal and initially flows to the northwest. East of Morstone , it turns its course northeast to the confluence of the Thornton River . From there it flows north and flows into the Gregory River at Riversleigh . In its lower reaches it forms the eastern border of the Boodjamulla National Park .
