The Gregory River is a river in the northeast of the Australian Territory Northern Territory and in northwest Queensland .

geography

River course

It rises near Gallipoli in the far east of the Barkly Tableland in the Northern Territory. It flows first to the northeast and crosses the border into Queensland. There it flows through the southern part of the Boodjamulla National Park and meets the Wills Developmental Road at Gregory Downs . There it describes an arc to the northwest. And flows into the Nicholson River about 45 km east of Doomadgee .
