Oasis is located in the Goshute Valley between the Pequop Mountains and the Toano Range at an altitude of 1790 m. The urban area extends over an area of 2.31 km².
The capital of Nevada, Carson City , is about 650 kilometers to the southwest. The city of Elko is 124 km to the east and 50 km to the west is the border with Utah .
