The Oba River is a 125 km long river in the north of the Canadian province of Ontario .
The Oba River rises 7 km west of Oba Lake at an altitude of about 420 m in the north of the Algoma District in the area of the Canadian Shield . The Oba River initially flows northeast to the west bank of Oba Lake. He leaves it again at the northern end of the lake. The Oba River now flows 60 km in a predominantly northerly direction. The river passes the town of Oba , a station on the Algoma Central Railway . Shortly afterwards, 34 km above the mouth, is the northernmost point in the course of the Oba River. This is where the Albany Forks river bifurcation is located . The Mattawitchewan River branches off to the right here. The Oba River makes a turn and flows the rest of the way to the south-southwest. 22 km above the mouth, Cameron Creek meets the river on the right. This eventually flows into the east bank of Kabinakagami Lake , which is drained by the Kabinakagami River .
