The Oban River is a river in the northeast of the Australian state of New South Wales .

geography

The river has its source northwest of Mount Duncan on the east canopy of the Great Dividing Range . Soon after its source, it flows through Little Llangothlin Lake in the Little Llangothlin Nature Reserve . From there it flows southeast to the small town of Oban . There it turns its course to the northeast and flows west of the Guy Fawkes River National Park into the Sara River .
