The Upper Tirich Glacier is located in the northern Hindu Kush in the Pakistani province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa .
The Upper Tirich Glacier has a length of 22 km. It flows along the southern flank of the main Hindu Kush ridge, initially in a northerly direction, later in an easterly direction. Its nutrient zone is on the western flank of the 7708 m high Tirich Mir . Other mountains that flank the glacier are Noshak , Gul Lasht Zom, and Istor-o-Nal . The Obere Tirich Glacier forms a tributary glacier of the Lower Tirich Glacier .
