Arthur Theodor Gruelich
Arthur Theodor Gruelich (born January 30, 1906 in Zurich ; † August 8, 1967 in Heessen ) was a German writer and educator. As a writer, he wrote numerous works and was pedagogically oriented. He is the founder of the Landschulheim Schloss Heessen school in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .
Life
Arthur Theodor Gruelich wrote writings such as Fateful Threads over the Atlantic and Die Chronik der Weinberggasse . In addition to his work as a writer, he also devoted himself to working with young people. He was the boarding school director and pursued educational reform goals. Nevertheless, Gruelich also counted conservative values such as discipline and respect.
After working as a director, he moved to Heessen , now a district of Hamm . Here he founded the Landschulheim Schloss Heessen school on May 2nd, 1957 , a private high school with boarding school. The school is based at Heessen Castle . The boarding school was founded as a co-educational school for boys and girls. Even today, the Landschulheim Schloss Heessen is a private high school with boarding school with an international character that accommodates around 380 students.
Arthur Theodor Gruelich died on August 8, 1967.
