Arthur Theodor Gruelich

Arthur Theodor Gruelich (born January 30, 1906 in Zurich ; † August 8, 1967 in Heessen ) was a German writer and educator. As a writer, he wrote numerous works and was pedagogically oriented. He is the founder of the Landschulheim Schloss Heessen school in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .

Life

Arthur Theodor Gruelich wrote writings such as Fateful Threads over the Atlantic and Die Chronik der Weinberggasse . In addition to his work as a writer, he also devoted himself to working with young people. He was the boarding school director and pursued educational reform goals. Nevertheless, Gruelich also counted conservative values ​​such as discipline and respect.

After working as a director, he moved to Heessen , now a district of Hamm . Here he founded the Landschulheim Schloss Heessen school on May 2nd, 1957 , a private high school with boarding school. The school is based at Heessen Castle . The boarding school was founded as a co-educational school for boys and girls. Even today, the Landschulheim Schloss Heessen is a private high school with boarding school with an international character that accommodates around 380 students.

Arthur Theodor Gruelich died on August 8, 1967.
