Oberergoldsbach is a district of the municipality of Hohenthann in the Lower Bavarian district of Landshut . Until 1972 it formed an independent municipality.

Oberergoldsbach is located on the Goldbach about four kilometers east of Hohenthann and about just as far southwest of Markt Ergoldsbach .
history
The mention of Friedrich von Ergoltspach zu Freie Ergoltspach in 1401 is the first written reference to Oberergoldsbach. In 1752 Oberergoldsbach consisted of thirty properties.
The municipality of Oberergoldsbach was formed in 1818 with the villages of Buch, Ober- and Unterhaid, Oberergoldsbach, Pfellnkofen, Ober- and Unterdörnbach, Siegensdorf, Weihmühle and Wölfelkofen. It belonged to the district court, district office and district of Rottenburg an der Laaber . On November 3, 1946, the American military government ruled that it would be incorporated into the municipality of Kläham , but on April 1, 1949, Oberergoldsbach regained its independence. Wölflkofen, Siegensdorf, Pfellnkofen, Ober- and Unterdörnbach remained in the municipality of Kläham.
The community now included the districts of Buch, Oberergoldsbach, Oberhaid and Unterhaid, Mantel and Weihmühle. In the course of the regional reform in Bavaria , the establishment of an administrative partnership with Kläham and Martinshaun was considered, but Oberergoldsbach decided to incorporate it into Hohenthann on July 1, 1972.
