High Court of Stade

The Stade Supreme Court was a large Supreme Court in the Kingdom of Hanover . It had its seat in Stade in Lower Saxony .

After the revolution of 1848 , jurisdiction was separated from administration in the Kingdom of Hanover and patrimonial jurisdiction was abolished.

On October 1, 1852, 12 major and 4 minor higher courts were set up as courts of second instance (comparable to today's regional courts ), including the higher court in Stade.

The following local courts were subordinate to the Stade Higher Court :

Between 1854 and 1856 the Stade Supreme Court had three people executed at the place of execution in Riensförde .

With the annexation of Hanover by Prussia in 1866, it first became a Prussian higher court and was then converted into the Stade district court .
