Higher Court Nienburg

The upper court of Nienburg was a large (from 1859 a small) upper court in the Kingdom of Hanover . It had its seat in Nienburg in Lower Saxony .

history

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished.

On October 1, 1852, 12 major and 4 minor higher courts were established as courts of second instance (comparable to today's regional courts ), including the higher court in Nienburg.

The following local courts were subordinate to the Nienburg Higher Court :

In 1859 the number of local courts was reduced. There remained:

  • Bruchhausen District Court (from the Bruchhausen District Court and parts of the Schwarme District Court and Hoya District Court)
  • Freudenberg District Court (from the Harpstedt District Court and parts of the Freudenberg District Court and Ehrenburg District Court)
  • District court Hoya (the previous district court Hoya except for the parish of Wartfeld)
  • District court Nienburg (the previous district court Nienburg and the district court Wölpe without the parish of Hagen and the municipality of Estorf of the district court of Stolzenau)
  • District court Stolzenau (the previous district court without the municipality of Estorf and the district court of Rehburg)
  • District Court Sulingen (the previous District Court Sulingen and parts of the District Court Ehrenburg and the District Court Freudenberg)
  • District court Syke
  • District Court Uchte

With the annexation of Hanover by Prussia in 1866, it initially became a Prussian higher court. It was dissolved in 1879. The judicial district was assigned to the Verden district court .
