The District Court of Syke is one of ten district courts in the district of the District Court of Verden . It is based in Syke in Lower Saxony . In the District Court Syke currently about 90 people, including ten working judges and 17 registrars in three buildings around the former county home .

Responsibilities

The district court of Syke is responsible for the northern part of the Diepholz district . The district court in Verden is subordinate to it. The competent higher regional court is the OLG Celle . As an insolvency court, the Syke District Court is responsible for insolvency proceedings in the Syke, Diepholz , Nienburg , Stolzenau and Sulingen districts .

Since 2005, the district court of Walsrode has been exclusively responsible for keeping the commercial, cooperative and association registers in the district of Verden. The partnership register has been kept centrally at the Hanover District Court since August 1, 2005 .

The bailiwick district of Syke was first mentioned in a document in 1517. With the establishment of the local courts on October 1, 1852, a local court was also created in Syke. The higher court was the Nienburg Higher Court . The seat of the building, which was initially erected as a prison house, was on the official courtyard. Until 1973, the Syke District Court was only responsible for the Syke office. Then in 1973 the district court district of Bruchhausen-Vilsen and a year later the district court district of Bassum were added. Today the district court is divided into three buildings around the district building.
