Amt Syke was a historical administrative area of ​​the County of Hoya , later of the Principality of Calenberg , the Kingdom of Hanover and the Prussian Province of Hanover . The administrative seat was the former village of Syke .

history

In the course of the administrative reform of 1852, the Marschvogteien Brinkum, Riede and Weyhe were spun off and a separate Brinkum office was formed from their communities , which only existed for a few years and was reunited with the Syke office in 1859. By merging the offices of Freudenberg and Syke, the Syke district was formed in 1885 . Syke became the seat of a Prussian district administrator .
