Ristedt is located in the Wildeshauser Geest . The Syker district, to which Sörhausen also belongs, is close to the B 6 and the B 51 towards Leeste.

Together with the Syker districts Barrien and Okel , a northern area with the connection to the " Bremer Speckgürtel " is formed.

Ristedt belongs to the parish of Barrien .

In the north-western part , the Hombach coming from Bassum flows through the district.

  • The " Hohe Berg " rises in the eastern area of ​​the village (towards Leerßen ) . At 58.2 m above sea level, it is the highest point around Bremen .   • Ristedt waterworks . The groundwater works , which went into operation in 1963, is part of the Harz water works . It has 16 vertical and 3 horizontal filter wells. Valuable drinking water is obtained through the treatment steps of deacidification (physical), iron removal , deacidification (chemical) and manganese removal . It mainly serves to supply the residents of Bremen. The waterworks can be visited in groups on request.
  • A model airfield is located northeast in the area north of Warwer and Leester Strasse, directly on the Streitheidegraben near the border with Weyhe- Melchiorshausen. On certain days of the year, model flight demonstrations by the association “FSC-Stieglitz eV” take place there.
  • The war memorial on "Ristedter Hauptstrasse" contains the names of 23 fallen and 3 missing from the First World War and the names of 38 fallen and 26 missing from the Second World War - (see war memorials in Syke # Ristedt ).
