Coordinates: 52 ° 55 ′ 16 " N , 8 ° 44 ′ 33" E
Hülsenberg is the name of a forest area in the Diepholz district ( Lower Saxony ). It belongs largely to Bassumer district Nordwohlde and is part of 2,302.00 ha large landscape conservation area Hombach - Finkenbach - Klosterbach (LSG DH 00060), which was designated in 1967 as such (see list of protected landscape areas in the district of Diepholz ).
The forest area is east of the B 51 and east of the Hombach between the core town of Nordwohlde and the Syker district of Sörhausen . It reaches a height of 56 meters.
During the Quimburga storm in 1972 (November 13), 101 hectares of the forest were destroyed, but have been reforested since then. Every year from mid-July to mid-August, the wild-growing orchid broad-leaved stendelwort ( Epipactis helleborine ) blooms in large numbers in this forest area .
