The district court of Diepholz is one of ten district courts in the district of the district court of Verden . It is based in Diepholz in Lower Saxony . The district court has been housed in Diepholz Castle since it was founded in 1852 .

The Diepholz District Court is responsible for the southern part of the Diepholz district . The district court in Verden is subordinate to it. The competent higher regional court is the higher regional court of Celle .

Since 2005, the district court of Walsrode has been exclusively responsible for keeping the commercial, cooperative and association registers in the district of Verden. The partnership register has been kept centrally at the Hanover District Court since August 1, 2005 . For insolvency proceedings is Amtsgericht Syke responsible.

After the revolution of 1848 was the Kingdom of Hanover , the jurisdiction of the administration separated and the patrimonial abolished. The district court was then founded with the ordinance of August 7, 1852 regarding the formation of the district courts and lower administrative authorities as a royal Hanover district court. It comprised the office of Diepholz and the office of Auburg zu Diepholz. The district court was subordinate to the higher court of Nienburg . In 1859 it was assigned to the judicial district of the Osnabrück Higher Court . At the same time, the Lemförde District Court was dissolved and its judicial district was added to that of the Diepholz District Court. With the annexation of Hanover by Prussia , it became a Prussian district court in the province of Hanover .
