The hamlet of Oberklausen is part of the municipality of Hirschbach in the Upper Palatinate district of Amberg-Sulzbach .

Geographical location

Oberklausen is located about three kilometers northeast of Hirschbach and is at an altitude of about 425  m above sea level. NHN .

history

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the independent rural community Achtel , which also includes the villages of Oberachtel (which was the seat of the municipality), Buchhof , Eggenberg , Munich and Unterklausen , as well as the both hamlets Obermühle and Ratzenhof belonged.

In the course of the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , Oberklausen was incorporated into Hirschbach together with the entire municipality of Achtel. Today Oberklausen has 28 inhabitants.

The district road AS 6 connects Oberklausen to the public road network, it leads directly past the northern edge of the village. In local public transport , the Verkehrsverbund Großraum Nürnberg (VGN) travels to Oberklausen during the day with regional bus routes 446 and 447.

Concrete foundations of the stadium model on the slope opposite Oberklausen

On Stockbühl , just north of Oberklausen , on the southern slope of the Hohe Berg, there are the preserved parts of a model structure for the German Stadium in Nuremberg with numerous concrete foundations . These were built between 1937 and 1939 as an experimental grandstand and are listed in the Bavarian monument list with the number D-3-71-128-30 .
