Oberried is a district of the municipality of Drachselsried in the Lower Bavarian district of Regen .

history
In the 12th century, numerous reed sites north of the Black Rain were established under the Counts of Bogen . Together with Trautmannsried, Unterried and Hötzelsried, Oberried was first mentioned in a document in 1254. On October 27, 1449, Duke Albrecht III. several estates in Oberried from Hans Closner zu Stubenberg . After the introduction of the main teams in 1464, Oberried formed a main team in the Riedern office of the Viechtach nursing court . The Riedern office comprised roughly the area of the communities Drachselsried and Arnbruck .
In the second community edict of May 17, 1818, the community of Oberried, which was provided for in the first community edict of July 28, 1808, was absorbed into the newly formed district of Drachselsried I. The union of this community with the patrimonial court community Drachselsried I, to which Drachselsried belonged, took place only after the abolition of the patrimonial courts in the year 1848 by resolution of March 8, 1849. In 1987 Oberried had 429 inhabitants.
Attractions
- Expositurkirche Mariä Namen. It was inaugurated on September 11, 1954. An oversized rosary adorns the church above the right side altar. The altar with the large wooden cross is kept simple and simple. The statue of the Virgin Mary in the church was restored and redesigned in color in 2009.
- Mason's Chapel. The house chapel of the Müller family was built from rubble stones to replace a wooden chapel in 1960 and consecrated in 1961 in honor of the Holy Family.
