The Oberseener Dorfbach is a 1.7 kilometer long right tributary of the Mattenbach in Winterthur's lakes district . It is named after the Oberseen district , which it mainly flows through.

In 2008 the upper course of the stream was rehabilitated so that it could withstand a flood of the century in the future .

The stream has its source in the Nübrechte forest below the Chölberg at an altitude of 567  m above sea level. M. After the forest area of the stream flows parallel to the direction in Köhlbergstrasse Oberseen. At the entrance to the settlement area, it first crosses under the site of a riding school and then flows north past the former village center. It flows through to Landvogt-Waser-Strasse mainly between residential buildings. It then follows for around 300 meters along Landvogt-Waserstrasse and Bachwiesenstrasse near the course of the road. Then it crosses under the tracks of the Tösstalbahn and flows the remaining meters of its course in the area of ​​the Büelwiesen district between houses, to finally flow into the Mattenbach below the Bacheggliweg.
