Oberthal is part of the municipality of Reischach in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting .

location

The hamlet is about 2 km north of Reischach on the open ground. The Perseisenhof, just under 400 m away, also belongs to Oberthal with a total of three properties. A road branching off from the B 588 in Fuchshub leads to the village and on to the AÖ 32 district road .

history

Oberthal probably originated in the 10th or 11th century. In the Duke's Surbar of 1300, two farms are listed in Thal . At that time, no distinction was made between Oberhal and the neighboring Unterthal , which is also not the case today.

Up until the municipal reform , Oberthal was part of the municipality of Arbing . This was incorporated into the Reischach community on July 1, 1971.
