Bloke (German Pfarrdorf , also Oblag ) is a municipality in the Notranjska ( Innerkrain ) region in Slovenia .
1,634 people live in the community, which is made up of 45 villages and hamlets. The capital Nova vas has 293 inhabitants. The community lies on a plateau in the Innerkrain .

Bloke is known for his invention of the ski. The inhabitants are one of the oldest skiers in the Alpine region . They used the beech slats for daily use as the area always had a lot of snow in winter. They developed a technique of moving forward with a stick.
