The Obnora ( Russian Обно́ра ) is a right tributary of the Kostroma in the Russian oblasts of Vologda and Yaroslavl .

The Obnora rises south of south of Grjasowez in the Vologda Oblast. It flows through a swampy forest landscape in a predominantly south-south-east direction. It crosses the border with Yaroslavl Oblast. Later it passes the administrative center Ljubim and finally flows into the lower reaches of the Kostroma.

The Obnora has a length of 132 km. It drains an area of ​​2,440 km².
