Ljubim ( Russian Любим ) is a small town in the Yaroslavl Oblast ( Russia ) with 5555 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010).
geography
The city is located about 125 kilometers northeast of the Oblast capital Yaroslavl at the confluence of the Obnora river with the Kostroma , a left tributary of the Volga .
Ljubim is the administrative center of the raion of the same name .
The city is located on the main line of the Trans-Siberian Railway (route km 393 from Moscow ).

Ljubim was founded in 1546 (or 1538) and received town charter in 1777.
