Oceania Swimming Association (OSA, German Oceanic Swimming Association ) is the continental umbrella organization for swimming in the Oceania region, recognized by the World Swimming Federation FINA . Within its remit, the sectors covered swimming , synchronized swimming , open water swimming ( English Open Water ), senior Swimming (Masters Swimming) , diving and water polo . The association currently has 14 national swimming associations; the youngest member is the Tonga Swimming Association , which was incorporated in 2010. Efforts by FINA and OSA to include the Solomon Islands and Vanuatu as members have so far failed for organizational reasons in the respective countries.
The association, which during the FINA World Championships 1991 in Perth was founded, organized every two years among other Oceania Swimming Championships (Oceania Swimming Championships) .
