Life

Abbess Oda comes from the Lower Saxon family of the nobles von Meinersen , this can be deduced from one of her documents, which she sealed together with her brother Burchard, the Vice-Dominus of the Bishop of Halberstadt . The Vice Dominus was mentioned in a document from 1227 to 1269.

She herself is mentioned in documents from 1248 and 1249. She apparently held the office before June 30, 1248, because she was named in a document from Archbishop Wilbrand of Magdeburg , which confirmed the payment of interest to the Apostolic Chamber .

The document of 1249 was about the settlement of disputes between the convent and the abbess over the sale of two gold tablets. These were given to the convent by Prince Heinrich I of Anhalt . The deed was attested by three canons, including the provost Gertrud I von Anhalt, who was her successor from 1260 onwards.
