Oesdorf is one of three districts of the Heroldsbach community in the Forchheim district , Bavaria .
geography
The village is about 6 km west of the district town of Forchheim on the federal highway 470 , which runs through the middle of the village. The district of Wimmelbach in the neighboring community of Hausen is about 2 km to the east.
The Reglitz brook flows through the village and flows into the Wimmelbach about 1 km east of the village center.
history
The first mention of Oesdorf can be found in a document of the Bamberg diocese from 1621, still under the name Ostdorf.
On May 1, 1971, Oesdorf became part of Heroldsbach.
