The Donghai Bridge offshore wind farm is an offshore wind farm located in the East China Sea near Shanghai , which takes its name from the nearby Donghai Daqiao bridge . The wind farm will be erected in two construction phases, the commissioning of the first construction phase was completed in July 2010, and another was officially commissioned in 2015.
Donghai Bridge 1
Donghai Bridge 1 is the first commercial offshore wind farm in China. The area of the wind farm, which was built in shallow water with a maximum depth of seven meters, is 14 km², the distance from the coast 9 km. 34 are used wind turbines of the type Sinovel SL3000 / 90, one at a rotor diameter of 90 meters nominal power have from 3 MW. Construction began in July 2008 and the project went online in July 2010.
Donghai Bridge 2
Donghai Bridge 2 consists of a total of 28 wind turbines, which also have a total output of around 102 MW. In addition to 26 series machines of the type Shanghai Electric SE 3.6 / 116, two prototypes with 3.6 and 5 MW respectively were built in 2011. The distance from the coast is between 5 and 11 km. The construction of the remaining plants started in December 2013. The official commissioning took place in October 2015.
